A Group Born of Refusal
Meekoo Industries Limited was incorporated in Pune in 2024 — but the conviction that built it had been forming for years before. The Indian food industry had a quiet, persistent problem: even premium organic brands were sourcing from commodity traders, blending with conventional supply, and labelling whatever survived as "pure."
Founder Ms. Stena Shah looked at that landscape and made a decision most entrepreneurs would consider commercial suicide — build the entire chain ourselves. From the farm contract to the soil, from the harvest to the steam-sterilisation line, from the formulation lab to the cold-chain logistics, every link would be owned, audited, and verifiable.
That single decision shaped what Meekoo became: not a single brand, but a vertically integrated group of five specialised subsidiaries plus a dedicated Global Export Division — each one purpose-built to do one category of food extraordinarily well, all backed by the same farm network, the same certification regime, and the same operating standard.
Today Meekoo Industries is a Public Limited Company registered under the Companies Act 2013, supplies 30+ export countries, partners with 2,000+ farmers, and operates across spices, dairy, beverages, plant-based innovation, and contract agro farming. But the original conviction has not changed: never buy what you can grow, never blend what you can source pure, and never sell what you would not feed your own family.
