About Black Pepper Oil
Black pepper essential oil is produced from Malabar pepper by steam distillation. Unlike ground pepper, the oil lacks the fixed oils contributing to heat — it has a bright, sharp, energising pepper character without burning sensation. High in beta-caryophyllene — a compound also providing anti-inflammatory benefits and studied for CB2 receptor activity.
Health Benefits
- Beta-caryophyllene — rare sesquiterpene acting on CB2 receptors as anti-inflammatory
- Piperine in oleoresin form enhances nutrient bioavailability significantly
- Energising aromatherapy effects — shown to improve alertness and focus
- Antioxidant monoterpene content supports cellular health
Culinary & Industrial Uses
- Aromatherapy for focus, motivation and supporting smoking cessation
- Food flavouring for pepper-forward preparations and sauces
- Pharmaceutical piperine source for bioavailability enhancement
- Sports products for warming muscle preparations and massage
Processing & Grades
Steam distillation of whole bold Malabar pepper. Beta-caryophyllene minimum 10% by GC-MS. Piperine-free (essential oil) and piperine-containing (oleoresin) versions available.
