About Dill Seed Oil
Dill seed oil contains primarily carvone (35–45%) and limonene, giving it both its fresh, tangy character and its digestive properties. European dill oil (from India's Anethum graveolens variety) differs from American dill oil — both are available. Used in the pickling industry and in infant digestive preparations.
Health Benefits
- Carvone is a proven digestive enzyme stimulant for improved digestion
- Galactagogue properties — promotes breast milk production in nursing mothers
- Antispasmodic — relieves intestinal cramping and infant colic
- Antimicrobial in food preservation and processing applications
Culinary & Industrial Uses
- Gripe water and infant digestive product formulations globally
- Commercial pickling brine flavouring for gherkins and vegetables
- Beverages — dill-flavoured water and specialty drinks
- Pharmaceutical digestive syrups and preparations
Processing & Grades
Steam distillation of mature seeds. Indian/European type (carvone 35–45%) available. American type specification also available. GC-MS profile certified with every order.
