About Amchoor Powder

Amchoor is made by drying unripe raw mangoes and grinding them to a powder. It provides instant citrusy tartness that is uniquely different from lemon or tamarind — fruity, complex and completely dry. Used wherever sourness needs to be added without adding liquid. The Dashehari and Safeda unripe mango varieties from UP produce the finest amchoor.
