About Cardamom Leaves
Cardamom leaves are the large, broad leaves of the cardamom plant used as natural food wrappers and flavouring in South Indian, Thai and Southeast Asian cuisines. In South India they are used to wrap and steam Pathiri (rice pancakes) and other preparations, imparting a subtle cardamom-like fragrance. The leaves contain volatile oils similar to but milder than the seeds.
