About Curry Leaf
Curry leaves are one of the most distinctive flavouring ingredients of South Indian cuisine. Rich in carbazole alkaloids which provide both the characteristic aroma and remarkable medicinal properties. The fresh, aromatic burst when dropped into hot oil is unlike any other spice on earth.
Health Benefits
- Carbazole alkaloids show potent anticancer activity in laboratory studies
- Rich in iron — used in Ayurveda to treat anaemia
- Antidiabetic properties — reduces blood glucose and cholesterol
- Traditionally used for hair growth and preventing premature greying
Culinary & Industrial Uses
- South Indian tadka — essential for sambar, rasam and coconut chutney
- Tempering for lentils, rice dishes and curries across Kerala and Tamil Nadu
- Curry leaf chutney powder (dry curry leaf spice blend for rice)
- Ayurvedic hair oils and herbal preparations
Processing & Grades
Carefully harvested and shade-dried at low temperature to preserve carbazole alkaloids and green colour. Available fresh (local supply), dried whole leaves, or freeze-dried for export.
