About Long Pepper
Long Pepper was the primary pepper traded between India and the Roman Empire — black pepper became dominant later. Mentioned in Aristotle's texts and found in Tutankhamun's tomb. In Ayurveda it remains one of the most important spices — part of the sacred Trikatu formulation.
