About Nutmeg
Nutmeg's history involves one of the most dramatic episodes in the spice trade — the Dutch East India Company massacred the population of the Banda Islands to maintain a monopoly. Eventually cultivated across tropical regions including southern India. Kerala now produces significant quantities of premium nutmeg.
