About Thyme
Egyptian priests used thyme for embalming; Greeks burned it as incense in temples (name from Greek thumos meaning to fumigate); Roman soldiers bathed in thyme-infused water for courage. The high thymol content makes thyme one of the strongest natural antimicrobials among all culinary herbs.

- Expectorant properties help clear mucus from airways in respiratory infections
- Carnosic acid provides neuroprotective antioxidant effects

- French bouquet garni — essential component along with bay leaf and parsley
- Slow-cooked meats, stews and soups across Mediterranean cuisine
- Natural food preservation — thymol used as a natural antimicrobial preservative
- Thyme tea for sore throats and chest infections — traditional and effective
