About Tulsi (Krishna)

Krishna Tulsi (purple holy basil) is considered the most potent of the three Tulsi varieties — Rama, Vana and Krishna. The purple colour indicates a higher concentration of anthocyanins (antioxidants) and the aroma is more intense and clove-like than green varieties. Particularly valued in Ayurveda for respiratory health, immunity and spiritual practice.

Health Benefits

  • Higher anthocyanin content than green Tulsi varieties — more potent antioxidant
  • Eugenol content provides antimicrobial properties superior to green varieties
  • Adaptogen properties help body manage stress effectively
  • Traditional use specifically for respiratory health and bronchitis in Ayurveda

  • Ayurvedic respiratory and immunity formulations requiring maximum potency
  • Essential oil for aromatherapy and high-end herbal product manufacturing
  • Sacred use in Hindu religious rituals and daily puja
